DIA DE LOS MUERTOS SKULL

In Mexican-based tradition, sugar skulls honor the return of spirits to their graves during Dia de los Muertos, or "the Day of the Dead" as it is translated to in English. This sugar skull illustration is made to honor my great uncle through illustrations that represent his activities in life. Each element represents certain aspects about his careers, family, and hobbies, from his love of baking to his work as a Eucharistic Minister, and more.
