Herlihy Insurance Group is a proud, family-owned local business of the Worcester area. With over 90 years of experience, over 5,500 clients and strong relationships with over 25 insurance companies, they know the industry inside and out; that’s why they are aware of the competition posed by national insurance companies and know that they need to compete with them. That’s why, when preparing to launch their new Herlihy Advantage Program, the company came to Delin Design looking for a new design approach to elevate their messaging.
The Herlihy Advantage Program is a step up on how Herlihy wants their clients to combine insurance services into one plan. With this plan, business owners can combine all of their personal and business insurance, then have them all handled by experienced insurance professional, among other benefits to ease the process. Herlihy’s new design campaign includes a refresh to their existing postcard set, billboards for the Worcester area, and a new premium direct mail piece specifically advertising the Advantage Program.
Three designers came to the table with three unique design approaches. My approach, named “Great Combinations,” uses intense color, bold typography, and simple, metaphoric imagery of food combinations to connect the idea that great things are even better together. The direct mail premium for this direction is a hot chocolate on a spoon kit that includes marshmallows and peppermint pieces to fit the combination theme, and comes in a custom package and includes an accordion brochure for the advantage program.
